We completed the project in Scottsdale last week. It is what we call a "watermark" type of faux. Some faux finishers call it a tea stain. It's a great old world look that still add elegance. We have done this type of faux from Tuscany style homes to Ultra modern homes. It's a look that seems to go with everything and it is great to use in small or very large areas. The pictures tend to magnify the veins. This in reality is a very soft flowing type of faux. Here are some photos of the work starting with a before picture. From straight dry wall we always wash down the walls with TSP (liguid sand paper),Then we paint the walls with two coats of primer and two coats of paint. We used a Dunn Edwards Jakarta colored paint for a base.
