We finished our Scottsdale home project for Rex and Jill in record time. It's hard to be humble when it looks this nice. So High Five to us! Check out how beautiful we made their kitchen. This couple was so nice. They go "the house is yours do whatever you want" and then they would leave. It's nice to be trusted in someones home. They are always excited to see what we did when they come home. We are off to Awhatukee for a column job on Monday. Have a great weekend and be safe in the rain.

Scottsdale Powder bath

We completed the project in Scottsdale last week. It is what we call a "watermark" type of faux. Some faux finishers call it a tea stain. It's a great old world look that still add elegance. We have done this type of faux from Tuscany style homes to Ultra modern homes. It's a look that seems to go with everything and it is great to use in small or very large areas. The pictures tend to magnify the veins. This in reality is a very soft flowing type of faux. Here are some photos of the work starting with a before picture. From straight dry wall we always wash down the walls with TSP (liguid sand paper),Then we paint the walls with two coats of primer and two coats of paint. We used a Dunn Edwards Jakarta colored paint for a base.

New project in Gilbert

I have fallen a little behind in my posting. We started a new project this week and with appointments on top we have kept very busy. We are working in Gilbert. This home is getting the full Kerri G treatment. Breakaway brick backsplash, "tea stain" or what we call watermark faux glazed entry, and a breakaway brick accent wall. Whew!!! We will complete the project on Tuesday so I hope to have pictures up soon.
